Exploring our site

We hope you find our site easy to use.  If this is your first visit these tips may speed discovery of what most interests you.

The Home Page

The menu along the top is, we hope, self-explanatory. Clicking on any large feature photo as it goes by in the slideshow will get you to the post explaining it. Our next Event(s)  appear in the larger box at right, helping you to plan ahead.  The lower boxes tell you all about our two museum sites — opening hours, what’s there , a map and so on. Further posts about each site can be accessed from:

The Righthand Menu

Click on the headings and explore! Don’t forget that clicking on photos will usually bring up a larger image.

The Footer

Clicking on Links at the bottom of a page (the footer) will get you to an annotated list of sites dealing in more detail with local history topics.  (It’s also available from the righthand menu.) The  Museum’s Facebook and Twitter pages  are growing longer by the day.  Your Posts, Likes and Tweets will be welcome too!  The Contact button will make give you a chance to email us or find out who the key personnel at the Museum are.

Searches

Do make use of the search box at top right.   A Google search will usually work too.

Still not sure where to start?

Go to Top Picks: Rye Museum or Top Picks: Local History for the current  suggestions.

We very much hope you enjoy using the website to find out about Rye Castle Museum and about Rye’s long and fascinating history.
