Children’s Day

Oct 2 -3BOct 26 - 1Children’s Crafts Afternoon – Monday 26th October

The afternoon of Monday, 26th October was a very creative one at the East Street Museum.

Children enjoyed a variety of autumn themed crafts, using leaves and conkers, twigs and wool to make conker animals, conker woollen spider web weaving, leaf collages, jam jar lanterns, twig men and masks.

17 children came along with their moms, dads and grandparents – so a very busy time at the museum — including for the volunteer helpers to whom many  thanks – Sue, Heather, Pat, Jo and Sandra.

If you forgot to take an item home there are a few things to be collected at East St which is still open for its final weekend on Saturday 31st October. East Street Museum then closes for the winter period except for special events. The Tower is open all year.

Oct 26 - 2See you children at the next special event – Father Christmas will be in his grotto Saturday 12th December – look out for details soon.
