Rye Museum AGM

If you don’t yet belong, some along and join!

Trip to Chiddingstone Castle, Edenbridge and Quebec House, Westerham, Kent

There are still a few places left for this day trip by coach.  Ring the office if you would like any of them: 01797 226728.    Set in 35 acres of Kentish countryside with far-reaching views, Chiddingstone is known for its fascinating exhibitions showing the transformations in castle and community since its origin in the 1500s and there are some extraordinary treasures.

Saturday, July 28    6-8 pm Ypres Tower
The Museum’s 90th Birthday Party

There is much to celebrate!  We’re going to ask for £5 for refreshments and a glass of wine, collected at the door. Bring your own chair if you can. If the weather is inclement, we will move to East Street. Please RSVP the office by Monday the 23rd – by phone, email or a note through the door – to help us plan for enough food, wine and glasses!

And has anyone got a gazebo (or two small ones) that we might use to cover the food and bar at the party? If you could lend us one, please ring the Office as soon as you can.

Tuesday, August 14th  2-4 pm  Ypres Tower
Teddy Bears’ Picnic

Singsong and games for children of any age (and their accompanying parents/grandparents, aunties and uncles).  Refreshments too.

Saturday, September 15  10:30 – noon  East Street
