Thursday, May  9th  – East Street 7:30 p.m.
The Journey to the South Downs National Park by Geoffrey Mead

Geoff is a Museum Trustee and well known  to be a very engaging speaker,  highly knowledgeable on the history and geography of Sussex.  The talk begins  at 7:30 with light refreshment at approximately 8:45. Entry is £3 for members and £4 for non-members – non-members always welcome!

Thursday, June 13 – East Street 7:30 pm.
 The Navigation of the Norman Conquest by Kathleen Tyson

Katharine makes her first visit to the Museum to tell us what she has discovered from her studies of The Carmen — a source of information about the invasion dating from 1067 —  about the Fleet, the Navigation, the Landing Place and the Port which led to William of Normandy’s Conquest of England.  

Friday, July 26 – Summer Party. Wine and canapés at the Tower

Tuesday, July 30 – Trip to Firle Place and Farley’s Farmhouse

We are scheduling a group visit to Firle Place and Farley’s Farmhouse on Tuesday the 30th of July. The group is expected to leave at 8:30 in the morning and return at 6:30 that evening. Cost for transport, coffee and biscuits on arrival, 2 guided tours:  £37 per person. You will receive more notice, but places are limited. If you’d like to come, contact the office to reserve a space.
