Coming Events for Your Diary

There are lots of events to put in your diary|!

Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 –  4:00
The East Street Museum is open every weekend

Even if you’ve been to the East Street Museum many times before, it’s time to come again!  Many of the cases have new displays (Many thanks to Yvonne Metcalfe and allthose who joined the working parties) the lighting for all the cases is now superb, so even if you’ve been before there is a chance to learn lots more about Rye.   And if you volunteer to be a steward on a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon during the season you will meet some very interesting (and interested) people among the visitors — besides learn a lot yourself from the new presentations.   Contact the office for details.

Thursday 9th June ‘They tell me they were in fashion last year’ . Samuel and Elizabeth Jeake and clothing fashions in late 17th Century London and Rye by Danae Tankard

Danae, of the University of Chichester, will describe her research, (including that from our documents), into the Costume of the Restoration Period.
