Half Term Fun at the Museum

Half Term Fun at the Museum

Making Things, Dressing Up and Fun for Mums Too!

Report and photos thanks to Heather Stevenson

Children enjoyed another fun afternoon at East Street Museum during half term on Wednesday 25th October.

They were busy making bird feeders out of pine cones filled with peanut butter, birdseed and fruits.

They made some lovely looking leaf people from tubes, leaves and embellishments and various other crafts using leaves and craft items.

They also enjoyed dressing up with the pirate outfits and items in the museum dressing up box. Thank you to the museum helpers, Heather, Sue & Sue M, Caroline, Sheila and Jo.

East Street Museum will be organising a children’s Christmas craft afternoon from 12 – 3 pm on Saturday 9th December. Children can make some old fashion Christmas crafts such as pop up cone puppets, Christmas tree ornaments, paper chains etc. Do come along and join in the fun.

As you may know the Christmas Grotto will be in a different location this year ( rear of Cinque Ports pub) on 9th December.  Look on the web site www.christmasinrye.co.uk for further details – tickets on sale soon.
